iPad Refresh: Apple Could Make 2024 A Year To Remember!
Apple hasn’t updated its iPad lineup at all this year, and it’s gone without updates. If anything, we got a new Apple Pencil with a USB-C port, but no new models of the iPad Air, iPad Pro, iPad 10th generation, or iPad mini. But that’s set to change, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as the iPhone maker plans to refresh the entire lineup next year in 2024.
According to Gurman’s PowerOn newsletter, this is the first time since 2010, when Steve Jobs announced the first iPad, that Apple has not updated the iPad once a year. Earlier last month, the brand was rumored to be launching new iPads, including a new iPad Air, but apparently the launch didn’t happen, instead launching a new Apple Pencil with USB-C.
The report adds that Apple could have pushed new products to market, but “the revamped iPads and AirPods aren’t ready yet.” That could all change next year, though, as it plans to update its “entire iPad lineup” in 2024.
So if this is true, we could see new iPads of all variants – including the iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad 10th generation, as well as the iPad mini. Some models, like the iPad mini, haven’t been updated in almost two years, and next year might be the ideal time to release an updated model.
In addition, it was also revealed that Apple plans to release a cheaper model of the AirPods, which have become a very successful product line for the company. In addition, Apple is also rumored to update its AirPods Pro later in 2025. That would be Apple’s third attempt to create Pro-class AirPods, as we already have the second-generation AirPods Pro.
